Findus is a leading international frozen food brand, operating in the Retail and Foodservice sectors. We grow, develop, produce and market a complete range of frozen food products including vegetables, vegetable mixes, prepared meals, recipe dishes and seafood.

The Findus brand is market leader in its markets in Sweden, Norway and Finland and in France has the highest recognition of any frozen food brand. In the UK, the Findus brand was brought back under direct control of the Findus Group in April 2009.

The first Findus factory started production
1945
Findus launched the first frozen food products into Swedish stores
1947
With the introduction of frozen foods, the business was renamed Findus Co.
1952
Findus moved into Norway
1958
Findus frozen products were exported to countries around the world
1962
Findus Co. was purchased by Swiss food giant, Nestle
2000
EQT Partners acquired Findus from Nestle
2004
Divestment of Findus UK, Spain, Germany and Australia, with a focus on markets in Scandinavia, France and CEE
2006
CapVest acquired Findus AB from EQT - Foodvest was created as the holding company of Findus and Young's Seafood
2008
As part of Foodvest, Findus was purchased by private equity firm, Lion Capital
2009
Findus parent group, Foodvest was renamed Findus Group
2011
Findus Group is operationally decentralised into 3 regional clusters – the Nordics, the UK and Southern Europe
2015
TriPoint Capital Partners join the Findus Group Board, alongside Findus’ Investor Group
